This splendid apartment is located in the district of Gianicolo, on the western bank of the Tiber, and a stone’s throw away from the legendary Vatican City. No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to this place, so you’ll soon appreciate the fact that you’ll need only a short walk to the north to get to this amazing landmark.
Behind the walls of the Vatican you’ll find a true treasure chest of diversity. Starting from the remarkable Sistine Chapel with its ceiling painted by Michelangelo himself, through the gorgeous Vatican Gardens, and ending with the Museums of Vatican, you’re bound to be delighted by the aesthetics and mystery of this astonishing complex. Make sure to be there as soon as possible, as the later it gets, the harder it is to enter. And try to leave through the grand Saint Peter’s Square to head east (and grab some mouth-watering gelato on your way) and reach the majestic Castel Sant’Angelo to enjoy a breathtaking view of the surroundings.
If that’s still not enough, you can cross the river of Tiber and enter the district of Ponte abounding with fantastic cafés, restaurants, pizzerias, as well as with a number of impressive examples of Roman architecture, such as Piazza Navona or the Pantheon. And if you decide to take a walk deeper to the south-east, you’ll be surely delighted to see the famous Forum Romanum or the Colosseum at their best. This will be a sight which will stay in your memory forever!
