Valadier historic residence is a stunning and unique 3-bedroom apartment in a historic building, just a few metres from Piazza di Spagna, the Spanish Steps.
The courtyard of the building is full of history: precious Roman marble sculptures are a fantastic discovery. The entrance to this luxury rental apartment is located on the first floor. Beautiful floors, ornament ceilings and frescoes create an exceptional place. The living room features comfortable sofas, armchairs, a coffee table, a TV, a DVD player, and a collection of DVDs. From the living room, it is possible to access a lovely private balcony with a table and chairs, ideal for a romantic aperitif. The apartment offers Wi-Fi Internet, central heating, and an air conditioning system. The fully equipped modern kitchen has a gas stove, oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer. All the necessary tableware, kitchenware and a dining table are also provided.
Two double bedrooms offer each a king size bed, flatscreen TV, an en-suite bathroom, wardrobes and a safe. The larger bedroom features enchanting frescoes with warm shades and an antique Cotto floor. Its en-suite bathroom has a shower box. The smaller bedroom has a lot of charm and the en-suite bathroom features a large bathtub. Another small bedroom comes with a single bed. At the apartment you will also find a laundry room (washing/drying machine).
This wonderful historic residence was once the home of Prince Stanislaw Poniatowsky, a Polish nobleman, politician and diplomat of the eighteenth century. Upon emigrating to Italy, Poniatowsky fell in love with Rome and decided to make the city his home. Therefore he commissioned the construction of his house to a famous architect of that time named Giuseppe Valadier. A famous family of antique dealers bumped into this very charming property (a wing of the historic residence), bought it and respectfully renovated it. In particular, you can admire some of the marvellous antique frescoes that they managed to bring back to life.
